Education means bringing out latent capacities within each person.
This is not what happens in schools throughout the nation. Younsters are trained during their most formative years of to accept, and adapt to, society as they find it.
So, we require not only new classes but new ways of learning and new types of learning institutions.
The very concept of "teaching" could give way to "menttoring" and genuine learner directed learning. Mortimer J Adler, for example, states that teaching must give way to "assisted learning".
Most of all, individual humans need to become aware that the present is continually changing into the future and each person individually and as part of the collective entitity is responsible for the future that is thus unfolding minute-by-minute.
